Coming up (4/21/2021) on the South Carolina Cannabis Conversation
At the South Carolina chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) we believe that the best path for reforming cannabis laws in the state begins by depenalization (decriminalization) of simple possession of cannabis through the local ballot initiative process.
The first step in the process is for us to educate our supporters/volunteers about the local ballot initiative process and how it works.
The Decriminalize South Carolina Project was initiated by a partnership between South Carolina NORML and The Sensible Movement Coalition (https://sensiblemovement.home.blog/).
The Sensible Movement Coalition has prepared A Citizens Guide to Changing Local Laws by Ballot Initiative in South Carolina as a document to guide us through the process. Find the guide here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2616/0774/files/Local_Initiative_Guide_for_South_Carolina.pdf?18016973443305827879
If you are interested in helping us change cannabis laws in South Carolina, please start by reading the information in the initiative guide, then join us for the next South Carolina Cannabis Conversation to review and discuss the process.
